Winter Green

For the last year Nigel has been working on a new music project called LICHENHEART, a deep mythical exploration of the dreamscape of the ancient land in which he has lived and worked for over thirty years. There will eventually be nine unique songs, a diverse sonic collection which spirals around the changing landscape, each composed on piano and flutes plus the musical and vocal contributions of a range of special guests. The songs will be released individually over the coming year, as single downloads and Youtube films, then become available as a beautifully crafted limited-edition album. The first song is called WINTERGREEN, with its premiere performance at our Beltane online concert. It offers the story of the winter wood always holding life and hope at its heart; the vivid greens of holly, yew and moss shine like beacons across the muted cold earth, showing a way forward towards the future…
