WILDSONG / KRUTTÂ CIRCLES ON DARTMOOR

Regular evening drum rituals held in the roundhouse with shared song, prayer and ceremony. We have been holding Wildsong Sessions on Dartmoor since 2017 as a beautifully informal collective of women’s drums, voices and ceremony. We have gathered to sing in village halls, outside among the trees, at festivals and women’s events, and as we walked with pack ponies in pilgrimage across Dartmoor. This year there were regular monthly wildsong and sacred drum (kruttâ) ceremonies in the roundhouse at Lower Merripit Farm. The shape of these evenings is simple: bring or borrow a drum, sit with sisters around the ancient hearth, drum and sing our prayers into the fire and out to the ancestors. There will be spare drums to use at these circles. There are 35 places available for each session, hot brews served from the hearth, cake provided, tickets £13 with £10 concession. Details about 2024 dates will be posted in February

WILDSONG DARTMOOR PILGRIMAGE

This took place in autumn 2023, guided by Carolyn, with Danielle Earp and her pack pony Piper

We are making a new film with photos and video clips that will appear here soon. The film of our first song pilgrimage may be seen here.
