December 12 @ 7:30 am – 10:30 pm

We only have one winter concert this year so this will be a very special evening in which to celebrate the ancient mythology and magic of the sacred instruments which have been at the heart of our compositions and performances for over 30 years.
We will be sharing two sets of music this evening. The first will be guided by the energy of flutes and voice, offering gently flowing music and songs that reflect deeply on the wild sacred landscape. Nigel will play many flutes handcrafted from Dartmoor woods, as well as bone and metal. Carolyn will weave in earthy chants and mystical lyrics as we create a prayer for the land.
Our second set will be resonant with the power of the sacred drum. The music will be infused with strong rhythms and the deep heartbeats of the ancient people who inhabit both the wild land and our wildest dreams. We will be inviting you to chant, sing, dance and drum, so bring along your own drum (if you have one) and your dancing feet! Together we will create a prayer to honour our ancestors and our ancient selves.
This concert will also feature Carolyn’s new book, due for publication in November. These Antlered Drums is a pulsing journey around the magical bodies, untamed spirits and singing souls of women’s sacred drums. The book is accompanied by a new oracle, the Kruttâ Kerdâ Drum Road, 28 journey cards based on the mythic tales and ancient rites of the drums that Carolyn has been creating during the last thirty years. Signed copies of These Antlered Drums will be available to buy on the night.
Tickets: £20 / £15 concession for those on low income benefits.
Concert begins 7.30pm. Refreshments and bar available.
