This early album was created by Nigel before he came to live on Dartmoor, when he was spending a lot of time exploring the Atlantic beaches and cliffs of southwest England. During this period he made many sound recordings along the coast and used them as a salt-infused foundation for music improvised in layers to capture something of the ever-changing moods and textures evoked by the timeless and powerful sea. The result is a gently hypnotic seascape of sound, moving from the clear bright edges into the ocean depths.

TRACKS: Two continuous movements – LIGHT (featuring seagull calls, bells, flutes, strings and classical guitar) and DEEP (featuring whale song, pipes and keyboards).
Album length: 48 minutes. Released in 1991.
