This Remembered Earth: Roundhouse Hearth

25th March 2020 @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

An invitation for everyone to the roundhouse hearth
THIS REMEMBERED EARTH ~ SHARING FIRE, FLUTE, DRUM, SONG, PRAYER, CEREMONY
hosted on Dartmoor by Nigel Shaw & Carolyn Hillyer

This sanctuary place in the heart of the moors has welcomed many thousands of people during the last 25 years for the sharing of music, ceremony, creativity and journeys exploring our relationship with wild land, our ancient ancestors and our sacred hearth fires. As we all step into deeper perspectives about the future of how we live on and with this Earth, we are opening the roundhouse doors for a regular informal circle around the fire, every 6 weeks:

~ for the sharing of lament, hope, invocation, declaration, celebration and connection
~ for bearing witness to the changes in our world
~ for honouring the heart of our humanity

The circles will include these things: offerings from Nigel and Carolyn of music and songs for contemplation and participation, playing drums and flutes together (we have extras to borrow), sharing silence, sharing words, sharing the simple fire ritual of placing our individual and collective prayers, spells or visions into the flames. Each time a few participants will be invited to make an extra contribution (music, poem, song, story) ~ please email us if you wish to offer this.
