The Braided River Confluence
11th September 2021 @ 9:00 am – 10:00 pm
Created and hosted on Dartmoor by CAROLYN HILLYER
This beautiful and empowering gathering in celebration of wild land, ancient magic and sisterhood will take place over two days.
September 11 Saturday: The Braided River Confluence (Wide Kombero) – from 9am until 10pm, all women welcome
* kombero is the ancient Proto-Celtic word for a gathering of waters and of women, also for prayers made beside the river.
You are invited to join this gathering of sisters to share a braiding of our courage and hope, an infusion of our dreams and clear intent, a confluence of intuitive and wise waters. Our thirteen hour journey together will include presentations, workshops, singing, drumming, dancing, ceremony, mythic tales and a riverbank of women’s craft & art all held within our symbolic and sacred house of rivers.
September 12 Sunday: The Braided River Confluence (Small Kombero) – from 10am until 6pm, by invitation
The second day of the Confluence is for women who have already been working within the flow of the braided river: apprenticeship sisters, salmon sisters, creel sister and sisters of the braid. You will have your invitation sent to you, with details of our informal plans for the day, including drum council and co-created rituals.
