Part of our small Scottish concert tour this autumn. Our first performance in Edinburgh, featuring music and songs from our new album NINE PRAYERS NORTH as well as work from other recent albums, in a rich weave of lament, lullaby, love song and celebratory wildness.
With this new music we have shaped music, lyrics and soundscapes that reflect rebellion, grief, hope, joy, comfort, stillness, restlessness, mystery and love. We have written these songs with the heart pointing northwards. Nine prayers offered in a time of turbulence.
We will be playing a broad range of beautiful traditional and hand-crafted instruments including wooden flutes, eagle bone flute, metal whistles, death whistle, fujara, koncovka, Jura guitar, bowed dulcimer, djembe, frame drums, metal bowl drum, rattles and bones. Vocals include songs in the proto-celtic Bronze Age language and some mythic tales harvested from Carolyn’s published work. We hope you can join us for this autumn evening of music.
