A exquisitely tender summer concert to launch Nigel’s long-awaited new album, LICHENHEART. Last year we envisaged braiding our three new music projects into one cord, having incubated Nigel’s new instrumental music for several years alongside This Remembered Earth (by both of us) and The Creel & The Crock and The Cauldron (by Carolyn). Lichenheart had its own timing… this music slipped into the dream of winter and beyond, into the quickening of this spring. Along the way Nigel shifted direction, added some wonderful string players into the mix, lost a long-time creature companion on the farm and wrote a new piece to honour him, found new compositional threads that had not arrived before the winter months. The result is a new album of music that has been deepened and profoundly enriched by the waiting… We hope you will be able to join us for this first performance of the music.

With special guests Carolyn Hillyer (vocals), Garwyn Linnell (cello) and David Edwards (violin).
The concert will feature the entire Lichenheart album as well as songs by Nigel and Carolyn, and some solo pieces from Garwyn and David. Performance at the beautiful new Moor Imagination Centre, Buckfastleigh.
