Glastonbury: A Song of Frost and Fire FRIDAY
10th December 2021 @ 8:00 pm – 10:30 pm
Please note: advance tickets are no longer available through this site. We will have some tickets available tonight but you will need to bring a negative lateral flow test to show us on the door and to wear your mask inside the venue unless seated. Many thanks.
Dear friends, we are so glad to be playing live music for you again this winter! We are also very grateful that the Glastonbury concert date has been so enthusiastically supported that we have a long ticket waiting list. So we have just arranged with the Assembly Rooms to add an extra concert date and now we will be offering music, songs and winter magic on the FRIDAY NIGHT as well.
Our last live performance before the lockdown year took place in the Assembly Rooms in winter 2019 and we are delighted to be back again on this small winter tour, to join in celebration, share prayers and dance together. This evening will bring you a magical infusion of ancient instruments (including our hand-crafted forest flutes and wild drums), soul-filled melodies, songs of sacred land and ancestral spirit, vibrant rhythms and a few mythic tales. We will be performing from recent albums (Nine Prayers North, Flow, Bones and Winter Folded Everything Inside a Shawl of Feathers) and some newly created work, including songs in the ancient proto-Celtic Bronze Age language. We hope you will be able to join us for this celebration of the season and honouring of our shared journey within the belly of midwinter.
Venue Information and Covid Care
These concerts are designed so you may sit spaciously during the evening. Following recent changes we are asking everyone attending our concerts to take a rapid lateral flow test before arrival (these may be ordered freely from the NHS website) and to show your test result (or NHS app showing you have recently had covid) at the door. Unless exempted we ask you to wear a mask until you are sitting down and when moving around the venue. Thank you so much for helping us with these collective care measures that will help to support more vulnerable audience members and enable everyone to enjoy to the concert with confidence and unrestrained enthusiasm!
The cafe/bar will be open before the concert and during the interval. Ticket prices: £15 full price, £10 concession (for students and those on low income benefits), £5 young people 10-18
