London: A Song of Frost and Fire
December 4 @ 8:00 pm – 10:30 pm
We are grateful and very glad to be travelling out from Dartmoor again with some concerts to catch the taste of winter’s edge and the deep resonance of our hearth fires during the cold months. We return to the beautiful St George’s Church, Bloomsbury, for this concert, bringing you a magical infusion of ancient instruments (including our hand-crafted forest flutes and wild drums), soul-filled melodies, songs of sacred land and ancestral spirit, vibrant rhythms and a few mythic tales. We will be performing from recent albums (Nine Prayers North, Flow, Bones and Winter Folded Everything Inside a Shawl of Feathers) and some newly created work, including songs in the ancient proto-Celtic Bronze Age language. We hope you will be able to join us for this celebration of the season and honouring of our shared journey towards midwinter.
Following recent changes in government guidance we have decided to ask everyone attending this concert to take a rapid lateral flow test before arrival. These may be ordered freely from the NHS website here: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests and are quick nasal-only tests with a 15 minute result. Please show your negative test result (in the white cassette) at the door where we will have a disposal bin. Alternatively you can show the NHS app that confirms you have had covid in the last 90 days. We ask you to wear a mask upon arrival until you are sitting down and when you are moving around the church. St George’s Church has plenty of room for you to sit spaciously. Thank you so much for helping us with these collective care measures – they will help to support and reassure our more vulnerable audience members and enable everyone to come to the concert with confidence.
We will be serving wine, spiced winter cordial and seasonal cakes during the interval, included in your ticket price. Ticket prices: £15 full price, £10 concession (for students and those on low income benefits), £5 young people 10-18
