Dartmoor: A Song of Frost and Fire
December 18 @ 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm
We are grateful and very glad to be travelling out from Dartmoor again with some concerts to catch the profound taste of midwinter and the deep resonance of our collective hearth fires during the cold months. We are also delighted to completing our small winter tour on the edge of the moor in the vibrant Ashburton Arts Centre. This evening will bring you a magical infusion of ancient instruments (including our hand-crafted forest flutes and wild drums), soul-filled melodies, songs of sacred land and ancestral spirit, vibrant rhythms and a few mythic tales. We will be performing from recent albums (Nine Prayers North, Flow, Bones and Winter Folded Everything Inside a Shawl of Feathers) and some newly created work, including songs in the ancient proto-Celtic Bronze Age language. We hope you will be able to join us for this celebration of the season and honouring of our shared journey within the belly of midwinter.
The Ashburton Arts Centre has its own covid care policy in place and we will comply with the requirements of the venue. These may change so please check here for updates nearer the time. This involves mask wearing on arrival and when moving around the venue, mask wearing during the concert in the balcony area (an option for those who want that) and full window ventilation of the centre so warm clothing recommended! We will be serving mulled wine, spiced berry juice and seasonal cakes during the interval, included in your ticket price. Ticket prices: £15 full price, £10 concession (for students and those on low income benefits), £5 young people 10-18
PLEASE NOTE: we have suspended ticket sales for now as we have reached our preliminary seat allocation. There may be more tickets released nearer the date of the concert – please email us to put your name on the reserve list for any extra tickets – many thanks.
There are tickets still available for our London concert.
