RIVENSTONE
FESTIVAL 2004 - ARCHIVE
Celebrating
the ancient spirit of wild land
AUGUST
Saturday 28th to Monday 30th at Lower Merripit Farm, Dartmoor
Once
again the Rivenstone festival was a great success despite
August rains (up to the evening before) and power cuts.
The quality and diversity of workshops was the best yet.
New skills were learnt and beautiful creations made. The
music programme was much more extensive and included some
of the best bands on the festival circuit. Amongst the highlights
were incredible performances by Michael Ormiston, Seize
the Day, Domenic and Vince from Praying for the Rain. Carolyn
and Nigel would like to thank all of those involved in this
year's festival.
Dom & Vince Decicco and Vanessa Vine from Praying for
the Rain; Mark Robson; Michael Ormiston; Seize the Day;
Misericordia; Madrum; Shaun Farrenden, Brian Abbott and
Jackie Juno from Riven; Clive Pig (the Storyfella); Scot
Jasper and Sue Garlick; Carole and the fire show team; thank
you all for your wonderful and spirited performances.
All the workshop leaders for their patient and generous
teaching of ancient skills.
The Chai Shop for the heart-warming food and drinks.
Jay Bosisto and Terry Larter and the rest of our amazing
and hard-working crew.
Special thanks to Steve Teers for the photo record (see
photo gallery below); John Mead for the DVD recording; Brian
Abbott for holding the stage-sound together; and Trudo White,
our neighbour, for her support and help.
Last and not least a huge thank you to all the people who
came to the event and entered into the spirit of the ancient
land.
